It was only after a trip to Kedarnath in 1989 that I got to know that Shivji was my Ishta Devta (personal deity of worship). What started in 1989 culminated in 1998 when I went for the Kailash Mansrovar yatra. Here is my anubhav (experience).
I worked for fourteen years with some of India’s best companies but was perpetually unhappy, not because I did not enjoy the corporate world but because deep within I was looking for a deeper purpose to my life. After three failed attempts did the Kailash yatra in 1998. I went quiet after completing the 53 kms Parikrama round the Holy Kailash. My co-passengers wondered! Is Sanjeev well. There seemed to be an inner transformation happening as we drove back through Tibet. In Mumbai, Mother noticed a change in my swabhav (nature).
Thereafter, I started reading books on Indian culture, history and philosophy as if there was no tomorrow. As I read the question that came to my mind was, did I want to share this knowledge or keep it within? Next, I started writing essays and emailing friends globally. After nearly three years of mailing esamskriti was born. It has been an evolutionary process thereafter. My motto in life has become, ‘The more we share the more we grow’.
The transformation in my life can be attributed to the Kailash Mansrovar yatra of 1998. I know of friends whose lives have undergone through similar transformations. Through what I call divine intervention met with the promoters of Atma Darshan Cultural Discoveries. We felt as if we had known each other for years. Having experienced happiness and peace within I am keen that followers of Dharma undertake these yatras too. Atma Darshan is a medium through which my dream of promoting yatras has come true. But first, how is Atma Darshan Different?
Atma Darshan views a yatra as a journey within. The purpose of the yatra is not just to visit places of religious or cultural importance but also look within and reflect on the journey i.e. called life. This process of introspection helps us know our true calling in life, hence the name Atma Darshan (a glimpse into your soul).
We facilitate the process of delving deep within by providing an Acharya or Guru who is the spiritual leader of the yatra. The
Acharya explains philosophical concepts in an easy to understand language. The focus is on how to translate the eternal truths of the Vedas into practical tips that help us in our day to day life.
We provide a number of unique add ons that make your yatra memorable.
For e.g. there could be a homa on the banks of Lake
Manasarovar, an aarti along the banks of Mother Ganges, camp fires at
night, folk dances by local villagers, meditation sessions, and morning Geeta classes and so on. Through an interactive process, we try to understand the needs of Yatris, and then customize the yatra accordingly. You can go for the following yatras. |
