Editor – During the 19th century India gave birth to many heroes, many of whom are unknown or as not as popular as others. Some of them played an important part in India’s freedom movement whilst others undertook social reform. The book Unsung Heroes seeks to provide you with insights into the lives of and contributions made by such great leaders.

Volume 1 features Mahatma Jotirao Phule, Lal Bahadur Shastri (former Indian Prime Minister), Sarojini Naidu, Bal Gangadhar Kher, Maulana Azad and Captain Lakshmi.

We present excerpts from two chapters of the book. First is on Mahatma Jotirao Phule and second is on Lal Bahadur Shastri. To read excerpts see attached PDF file.

What I like about books published by Indus Source is that they are 150-200 pages, informative, easy to read, reasonably priced and come with nice covers.
