About Shruti
 
Shruti is an accomplished musician, Nada (sound vibrations) researcher, exponent and therapist, educationist, mathematician.

For over a decade she has been exploring the growth of consciousness through Nada, the Vedic science of Sound, and its applications in health and the development of consciousness. Shruti teaches methods for diagnosis, treatment and healing of the body and mind using the techniques of Nada, and defines ways of enhancing mental capacities and curing stress and anxiety.

She has conducted Nada (Sound and health) workshops, her Mantric performances as well as her Education workshops in a large no of cities in India as well as the United Kingdom and South Korea.

Shruti conducts Teacher Training workshops for over 3000 teachers on education, self-development, and related themes. She conducts specialised workshops with students on self-development, concentration, success and motivation, music appreciation. She also lectures on Ancient Indian Spiritual texts such as the Vedas and Upanishads with interested study groups.

She reaches out to an even larger audience through her audio cassette series on Nada and Mantra healing, which are much sought after for use in alternative medicine, stress healing and relaxation. She has published booklets on Agni (in the Veda), healing with music and mantra and is presently writing a book on the "Beeja Mantra".

As a proficient and well-known singer, she regularly conducts musical recitals, and her audiocassettes and CDs on mantras; chants for healing and devotional music have enchanted audiences all over the world. Her diverse repertoire includes Indian classical, devotional, semi-classical, Rajasthani folk, and light music. Her music (Mantra) CDs includes, "Aum", "Beeja Mantra" (4 cassettes for Chakra Healing), "Om Bhoorbhuvah Swah", "Isha Upanishad", "Shivoham", and "Shakti". Shruti received her spiritual initiation from the MOTHER of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry at the age of eight.

A personality of many facets, her other interests include Kashmir Shaivism, psychology, alternative medicine, education, occult sciences, mathematics. She speaks many languages, including English, Hindi, Bengali, Rajasthani (Marwari), Sanskrit and French.

Shruti’s aspiration is to discover the truth and bliss of existence in the purity of sound. Her quest is the unity of life and spirit through science and the growth of human consciousness.

Clinical Experiments & Medical Research

  • Experiments with the EEG (electroencephalograph) on the relaxing effect and conversion to Alpha and theta brain waves by Vedic three tone chants and Aum at the VIMHANS hospital, New Delhi.


  • A four-week Sound Therapy course which showed a significant positive change in blood sugar, cholesterol, vital (lung) capacity and pulse rate.


  • Tests on the effect of Aum and Beeja sounds on the energy axis and the chakras with the Lecher Antenna.

  • The cure of Epilepsy and other nerve disorders.
