Patna earlier known as Pataliputra, Kusumpura or Pushpapura, which means the city of flowers, the capital of modern day Bihar is among the world s oldest capitals with an unbroken history of many centuries. The name Bihar is derived from the word Vihara mA side view of the Vidhan Sabha. Looks very clean & impressive. Very unlike the impression that we had of Bihar.Golghar Patna is the state granary built by the British. It continues to be used as a granary. By climbing up on to the top of the granary you gets a bird s eyes view of the city.Patna Museum. It houses the world s longest fossilized tree - 16m and 200 million years old. There is a fine collection of Chinese paintings and thangkas (Tibetan cloth paintings). It has a casket that contains Lord Buddha’s ashes, which have been excavat
What you see is the entrance to Harmandir also called Patna Sahib being the birthplace of the tenth Sikh Guru Guru Gobind Singhji. Built of white marble by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Way to Guruji s birth place. A closer view of the main Gurduwara.
