During Jammu Yatra of October 2014 saw a number of churches. Here are a few pictures. This one is in Jammu city. Left of pic is golden color Dwajastambha - on top of which is a Cross. In Guruvayur temple there is an image of Shri Krishna. Churches are increasingly adopting Hindu symbols. To see pictures of a similar cross in Kalady Kerala Click here

Entrance to another church in Jammu.

This one in Samba. To read about Foreign Funding of Indian NGOsClick here

Convent school in Samba. Name is Kristu Jyoti - normally they say Christ School like in Akhnoor. Kris in Kristu sounds like Sri Krishna and Jyoti in a deeper sense means ''light''.

Another board of school on road to Samba. We were told that missionaries are very active in Samba region. To see pics of Ramakrishna Mission School in Bastar Click here

Christ Church School in Akhnoor ie app 30 kms from Jammu. School by similar name in Poonch. To see pictures of Churches of Arunachal Pradesh Click here
