Namaskar,
All of us have so many questions about Indian Culture, Spirituality, History and Travel. Itne Kisko puhe, kaya jayein. Itne book kaun padega.
eSamskriti was born out an infinite quest for knowledge about Bharat. The intent was to create one platform where you got to know and understand India's core ie spirituality and see India too.
During my 14 year in the corporate world yeah saab karne ki liye time nahin mila but a Kailash Mansrovar Yatra in 1998 changed the course of my life.
KYA HUA? Till then it was all about me, post Kailash it was about what can I do for you.
Post Kailash read thousands of pages as if there was no tomorrow. Next compiled articles. The question arose - prashna utha! Do I want to share the knowledge or keep with me.
A dear friend Niket designed the website. So esamskriti was born in 2001. It started with some 25 articles and 40 pictures. Realized the content was too little.
Initially used published articles and precis of books. Starting 2003 started writing for newspapers and websites. Since one of esamskriti objectives was to show visitors India, I learnt photography and started making mission like photography trips all over North mein Ladakh, west mein Jaisalmer, south mein Tamil Nadu and the entire North-East.
Post relaunch in 2009 many authors and photographers began to share their work on esamskriti. T N Sethumadhavanji wrote a chapter wise commentary on the Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads which readers across the world loved.
Thanks for contributors and travel kept on evolving. India is the land of festivals so began photographing them, Thrissurpooram in Kerala, Jaisalmer Desert Festival in Rajasthan and Sangai Festival in Manipur.
The purpose of eSamskriti is to document and selflessly share Indian Culture & Spirituality with the orld.
Today Indians are present the world over. So eSamskriti requests you to share pictures of Indian Festival celebrations and temples in your country.
eSamskriti ka approach hai discover, document, accept and enjoy India. Ham Bharat ko define nahin karthe, we do not try to put in silos. Instead we see unity in our diverse traditions.
eSamskriti common man ki liye hai not only in India but across the world.
I invite you to visit esamskriti. Seek your prayers and good wishes.
