Trek route to Hemkunt Sahib. To reach this place you get off at Govindghat, about an hour s drive before Badrinath, stay overnight there. The trek from there to Hemkunt can be done in two parts. One is a 13kms trek to Ghagria. Two is I think a 6kms trek fEntry to Hemkunt Sahib area. W.H. Mcloed wrote in the History of Sikhism, "At 4,636 metres is Hemkunt. This spot is said to be the place where Guru Gobind Singh prior to his human birth, engaged in austerities. These austerities are described in Bachitar An overview of the Gurdwara.   6. i visit hemkunt sahib in 1994 i was 12 years old and i remember till today my each step on the way of sri hem kunt sahib.
