You see reception entrance of the Lake Palace Hotel ie run by Taj Group.

You can go boating in Lake Pichola by taking boat from city palace as you see in this picture or Lal Ghat as we did (cheaper option). The former service is run by the Ranas of Mewar. It currently cost about Rs 250 per head which includes a boat ride and a visit to Jag Mandir whose picture you shall see later.

You see Lake Palace hotel. The structure that you see immediately behind is the Udai Vilas hotel run by the Oberois. On right of picture you see a hill. On top of the hill is Sajjangarh fort from where you get a panoramic view of the city.

A close up of the Lake Palace Hotel. We clicked this from our pedal boat.

Sun set view of the palace hotel. Took this picture from the sun set restaurant that is referred to in the City Palace section.

People in various parts of India wear the Pagdi differently. When I saw waiter Pritam Singh at the sun set restaurant thought it would be a good idea to click so you get to see the Mewari style.

You see Jag Mandir, an island in Pichola lake. It is the private property of the Ranas of Mewar. Actress Ravina Tandon got married here.

You see wife Aparna and me in the pedal boat. After a brisk 30 minute pedal from Lal Ghat to Jag Mandir the security person said we could not see Jag mandir since it is private property. Disappointed we requested him to click us which he dutifully did. Wonder if you can see but behind is a blurred picture of the City Palace.
