1. We drove in from Lakhpat to reach about 12 noon. The distance from Bhuj to Narayan Sarovar is 152 kms. First view of Narayan Sarovar with temples in backdrop. It is one of the 5 holy lakes the others being Mansrovar (Tibet), Pampa (Karnataka), Pushkar (Rajasthan) and Bhuvaneshwar (Orissa).

2. This is Dwarkadhish temple built by Maharani Mankuvar Rajba of Kutch in 1790. When she visited Dwarkadhish temple at Dwarka she had an unpleasant experience with the Pujari or priest so she decide to build a Dwarkadhish temple at Narayan Sarovar.

3. Murthi of Sri Krishna inside Dwarkadhish mandir. Sarovar was not fully filled and could be better maintained esp. at the corners. Met a couple of Kolkata. Met a family from Mumbai. They thought I was Kutchi. Surprised to know that a Punjabi had come to Narayan Sarovar. I smiled & said am follower of Dharma.

4. The Maharani also built four other temples and a fort surrounding them. The Vaishav temples are Shri Trikamraiji, Laxminarayan, Govardhannathji, Dwarkanath, Adinarayan, Ranchodraiji and Laxmiji. Queen of Rao Deshalji II of Kutch had built these temples. Here is the 63rd seat of Maha prabhuji.

5. Fort wall made by Maharani. Lovely place with very good vibrations. Felt divine when walked into the Dwarkadhish temple.

6. Temple provides free food. Awesome. Trust also has rooms @ Rs 250/ for non aircon. If want aircon rate is Rs 500/ ie in February 2018.

7. Outside temple man making bhajiya, jalebi and fafda. It is like a ribbon ghatia and eaten with jalebi. For a senior & super Kutch guide call Pramod Jethi 91 93742 35379. For car hire call Narendra Bhai 91 9925440072 or Meet Bhai 91 88661 94748 or 87803 77140. Used them. Both very good and trustworthy.

8. 2 kms away is ancient Koteshwar Shiv temple. View of Arabian sea from temple. One can sit here for hours on end. To buy Kutch textiles in Bhuj visit Bhujodi 15 kms away. Recommend NGO Shrujan and Shyamji Bhai Vankar shop.

9. Koteshwar Mandir. Shah Suderji Sodagar renovated this temple in the 18th century. Here tide changes every six hours. Sunset is golden colour here. Sunrise too worth seeing. Evening aarti starts after sunset. A pandit plays the dholak during aarti - it stirred me from within, awesome. To see pics of Pushkar Click Here
