Sanatan Sanstha celebrates the life of Adi Guru Sankaracharya in London

  • A brief write-up on program on how SSUK celebrated the life of Adi Guru Sankaracharya timed with the Statue of Oneness that would be unveiled in Omkareshwar, Malwa.

Sanatan Sanstha of UK (SSUK) today organised a program for Shri Adi Guru Shankaracharya under their new series called ‘Santon Ki Vani’ at the historic Nehru Centre in London.

 

The program was done at a time when MP CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan is ready to unveil the new 108 ft statue of Shri Adi Guru at Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirling soon in Bharat. The highlight of this program was the idea of explaining people about the relevance of Mathas in modern context and children from SSUK Gurukul singing on claps the very famous ‘Ai Giri Nandini’, which included children as small as 3 years.

 

Program had many speakers including Abhi Yogi, CK Naidu , Anupam Fotedar and Smita Pandey from SSUK.

 

Children and their parents participated with full vigour and made the hall reverberate with sounds of ‘Jai Shri Adi Guru'. The program also had a special panel discussion in end which was done with the guests of this program which included the renowned Kashmiri Activist Sushil Pandit ji, Acharaya Hari ji (Vedic Scholar from Bharat), Swami Surya Prabha ji (Brahmarishi Mission) and Dr Rishi Handa (St. James, Sanskrit Head). 

 

The life of Adi Guru and his teachings were discussed in details and people loved the spiritual discourse in which some prasadam that was distributed by SSUK volunteers. 

 

The program was managed by SSUK team which included Shri Ashwani Srivastava, Ajay Prakash, Vishal and Gunjan Bhardwaj, Giriraj Joshi & Hirdesh Gupa, who managed the children performances and also felicitated the guests. Two prominent Scholars from the Sringeri Math Dr Chandrashekhar and Shri Shridhar also gave their messages and explained the work being done by various Adi Guru Shankaracharya orgs worldwide.

 

On this occasion a tribute was given on Kashmir Hindu martyrs who were killed during 1989 till date due to fundamental terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

 

The program ended with Nirvana Shatkam by Geetika and a momento for Shri Adi Guru was given to all the four guests, who shared their wisdom and actions for next generations.
